POSITION SUMMARY
Plans and implements education/events for physicians in the region through the Bay Area Hospital CME Committee.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans, develops, implements and evaluates CME events at the direction of the CME Committee and chairperson
Provides administrative support for the CME Committee
Oversees Joint Sponsorship entities to ensure that program requirements are met
Conducts annual needs assessment survey and analyses
Periodically audits event files to ensure compliance with ACCME standards
Prepares documents in preparation for reaccreditation of the CME program
Collaborates with Medical Staff support personnel as needed
Conducts literature searches and procures articles for staff and physicians
Manages educational display forecasting, scheduling, contracting
Submits CME Credit Reports to the Medical Staff Office on a regular basis
Coordinates students and residents
Promotes CME membership/payment of annual dues by members
Updates program budget including income and expenses on a monthly basis
Assists in the development and maintenance of CME policies and procedures in accordance with CME Committee direction and ACCME Standards
Develops and distributes communication and promotional materials for CME
Submits annual report to OMA
Attends OMA meetings as required
Assists and supports the Medical Staff Coordinator in oversight of the Medical Staff Department with meeting support, credentialing and re-credentialing as needed
Minimum Requirements
SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrates strong organizational and facilitation skills
Ability to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously
Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Business or related field preferred
Current and valid Oregon driver's license preferred
EXPERIENCE

Experience in marketing and strategic communications planning preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
