Y Marina is a fast paced, high volume, professional and family oriented business. We specialize in aluminum and fiberglass fishing boats and Yamaha outboard engines. We have a great selection of some of the finest manufacturers in the business, including; Duckworth, Edge Marine, Hewescraft, North River Willie Boats, Smoker Craft, Stabicraft, RH Aluminum Boats, Defiance and Arima. We offer full Garmin, Lowrance & Simrad electronics packages and a huge variety of marine accessories.

Duties Include (but Are Not Limited To):

  • Standard Service and Maintenance.

  • Diagnosing & Repairing I/O & Outboard Engine Issues.

  • Rigging Engines, Electronics & Accessories.

  • Ability to Keep Up with Daily Scheduled Work.

  • Ability to Complete Work Efficiently & Effectively.

  • Ability to Use Computer Software to Track Hours, Keep Job Notes, Etc.

  • Ability to Work with a Team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • Minimum 2 Years Mechanical Experience. Marine Technician Experience Preferred, but Not Required.We are Willing to Train the Right Person.

  • Technician Certification (Yamaha, Mercury/Mercruiser, OMC, Volvo) Preferred but Not Required.

  • Full Set of Own Tools.

  • Forklift Experience a Plus, but Not Required.

  • Able to Lift 80+ Lbs.

  • Able to Successfully Pass a Drug Test.

  • Valid Drivers License with Clean Driving Record.

  • Computer Skills for Engine Diagnostics, and Repair Order Maintenance.

Roles of the Service Department:

  • Coordinate with Sales Department for New Vessel Rigging or Maintenance.

  • Maintain & Repair Pre-Owned Boats.

  • Marine Electronics & Accessories Installation & Maintenance

  • Mechanical Evaluations, Repairs and Trouble-Shooting

  • Standard Services, Maintenance and Winterizations

  • Electrical Trouble-Shooting

  • Manufacturer Warranty Repairs

  • Trailer Repairs

  • All Repairs & Installations Complete in a Timely & Professional Fashion.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
